When I was still a kid in the business I was published by Road & Track magazine. This was what they called a spot illustration. They don't use art very much anymore. Unfortunately the specialty of automotive art has gone the way of digital photo manipulation. This is line drawing was created using a speedball nib and india ink. Really old school rendering. At the time, this new V6 powered Ferrari Dino (named for Enzo's deceased son) was quite the hot ticket. Tony Curtis drove one as the character Danny Wild in the BBC production of The Persuaders.
David Lloyd Glover has a 25-year international reputation exhibiting in major galleries in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Japan. At the age of 18 he was a full-time newspaper and magazine illustrator. For his many galleries, Glover has created images ranging from Impressionist landscapes to Iconic pop art images of Jazz artists, Rock stars and vintage automotive.
