By the way this is named for MIles Davis. As well as a horn player he was an abstract painter.

Back in the 1960's my personal work was mainly abstract painting. At the time most artists were doing hard edge abstracts but not me! . So its kind of fun to revisit just working with color fields. Professionally I was an illustrator for the newspaper so I was doing plenty of realism in the style of the day.
