If you really know your jazz then you will know Milt. He was known as the Dean of Jazz bass players. He became famous for his slapping technique when he played with Cab Calloway. Besides being an important jazz musician, Milt was also an accomplished photographer. His photos of his jazz players are part of music history. Milt Hinton is the most recorded musician in th world and I pictured him working on one of his 1,174 recording sessions.
