One my good friends was at the Isle of Wight concert when Jimi performed his son "Race with the Devil". I didn't see Hendrix until he returned to the US. Amazing player.

Hendrix was an unbelievable performer. I always remember the first song I heard him play. Purple Haze. I had never heard anything so unique for its time as that.
