Artist's Description
One of Frank Sinatra's favorite musicians was Count Basie. When they got together they really swung. It was a rare event that they would get to work on the same project but they did record a few great albums. I had the good fortune to get to know the arranger and producer of the album that was being recorded for Reprise Records and that was Neal Hefti. Neal shared with me his experience in working on this famous session. By the way Neal was at one time an arranger for the Count Basie Orchestra. You can see by Frank's expression in this picture that he was very happy with the sound they were creating.
