In the small town of Avalon on Santa Catalina Island you will find these year round beach cottages. Catalina is unique in that there are no cars allowed. Owners of these homes get around town either on foot or by golf cart. Many of these homes were buillt back in the day when Wrigley owned the island and it was the spring training camp for the Chicago Cubs. They may look like modest little homes but they are very expensive to buy. The Coral Hut stood out with its pink facade and climbing bougainvillea. The sky is the typical morning light with the June overcast sky, which quickly gives way to a blue sky and sunlight as the mist burns off. Original painting with transparent watercolor on 300lb cold pressed watercolor paper 29” x 41” by master watercolorist David Lloyd Glover.
