I painted this seascape about 15 years ago as part of my series on the California coastline. Always admired the works of the famous seascape painters like Robert E. Wood. This is my impressionistic view of a seascape with lots of loose brushwork as opposed to the very polished look of the greats. This painting is really a study of light and shadow forms. Overall this is almost a monochrome composition at best.
