Your work is such a visual delight David; always uplifting and enjoyable - I love this scene and the beautiful impressionist style you've used here.....I read how you like to take out very small canvases on site and do rough work directly on them and then when you get back to your studio you will use them to create more in depth artwork.....very interesting and successful technique....jd

I like doing the small canvases sometimes. It forces your eye to simplify.

Wow awesome painting, David, and even though I may not be able to relate to the concept of mind inclusion of sketches, then turning them into beautiful artworks, I do believe my wife has that ability and prowess. She will look at one of my photos, take a mental picture of it in her mind, and then only accept what she wants within her artistic mind, and paints something so different from my photo, that it blows my mind. She says, "That is what I saw" and I love the creativity of the artistic mind, and my wife is still teaching me, even at 150 years old, but I sure as hell know what a "cane" looks like! LOL Thanks for sharing all your beautiful works, David, and also your inspiration, and hope you have bit of a sense of humor, if you are to put up with "Elvis"! LOL Have a great day, My friend! F/V
